"They Came for Cabbages, Stayed for the Friendships"

The Empowering Family Health Workshops began again for 2017 on the weekend of January 7th and

8th.  On January 7th, a group met at the Barlow Creek Fire Hall for the workshop titled "Living Off Your Backyard" with presenter, Colleen Gatenby.  Colleen's presentation was an inspiration and covered off what one can do in one's "backyard" to ensure one's own food security.  Colleen's "backyard" includes the Quesnel Downtown Community Garden which explains the above quote.

Thank you to the Barlow Creek Volunteer Fire Department for opening up their hall as the venue for this workshop.  It worked perfectly.

  1. Wow, such events should held more often and people who arrange it must be encouraged. Would like to see more pictures of the event, can you please share them if you have?
